Name a movie where the protagonist is an adult woman, and she ends up
1. Alive and healthy
2. Happy
3. Not in love
I think I've got one that fits this and passes the Bechdel test.
Today's earrings: pigs, green eggs
Bedtime reading: Reflex, Dick Francis
I'm stumped.
ReplyDeleteDoes falling in love and then walking away from it count? (Devil Wears Prada, Suburban Girl)
A League of Their Own? But the protagonist is really Geena Davis' character and in the final game she gives it up for her sister to win and not be in her shadow. But everyone is happy when they go to Cooperstown. Or is it like Steel Magnolias where it depends on which character is the protagonist?

My answer: Chicago.
ReplyDeleteBoth Roxie and Velma end the movie alive, well, apparently unencumbered by romance, and practicing their chosen profession. And! It passes the Bechdel Test.
